- Slack:

Frame Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 26, 2026
Frame (the “App”) is an always-on dashboard app for iPad. This policy explains what information the App handles and how. The App performs no analytics collection or advertising and does not track users.
Information We Access and Use
- Location: Used only when the Weather widget is purchased and enabled. Your current latitude and longitude are sent to the weather service Open-Meteo to retrieve weather data. Location is not sent to or stored on the developer’s servers, is not linked to your identity, and is not used for tracking. You can revoke the permission anytime in iOS Settings.
- Photos: The App accesses your photo library (PhotoKit) to display a slideshow. Photos are processed and shown on-device only and are never transmitted or uploaded.
- App settings: Preferences such as clock style are stored only on your device (
UserDefaults).
- Inquiries: Only when you send an inquiry from Settings, the message you enter, an optional reply email address, the app version, the iPadOS version, and the device model are sent through a relay operated by the developer (Cloudflare Workers) to the developer’s Slack workspace. Everything that will be sent is shown on screen before sending. The relay does not store or log the content. Your IP address is used temporarily by Cloudflare only to limit bursts of submissions.
- Crash reports: If the App terminates unexpectedly, the crash state (such as where the program was running), device model, iPadOS and app versions, time of the crash, and a random identifier assigned per installation are sent to Google’s Firebase Crashlytics to investigate the cause. They are not linked to your identity and are not used for tracking. They contain no photos or location.
Information We Do Not Collect
The App does not collect personal information (such as name or account data), usage analytics, or advertising identifiers. An email address is received only if you enter one as the reply address for an inquiry. There is no sign-up or login.
Third Parties
- Open-Meteo: Receives only latitude/longitude to return weather data.
- Apple: In-app purchase (Weather widget) payments are handled by the App Store. The developer does not receive your payment details.
- Google (Firebase Crashlytics): Collects and stores crash reports (Privacy and Security in Firebase).
- Cloudflare: Runs the relay for inquiries.
- Slack: Receives and stores inquiries.
Data Retention
Inquiries are kept in the developer’s Slack workspace so they can be answered. To request deletion, use the contact below. Crash reports are kept in Firebase Crashlytics and Google begins deleting them after 90 days. On-device settings are removed when the App is deleted.
Children’s Privacy
The App is suitable for all ages. It collects no personal information, except an email address you choose to enter as the reply address for an inquiry.
